AISA OFFICE
SUMMER HOURS: Monday - Thursday, 8:00a.m.-2:00p.m.
GENERAL ANNOUNCEMENTS:
EFFECTIVE IMMEDIATELY, TAYLOR ROAD
ACADEMY, MONTGOMERY, AL HAS CLOSED.
REPORT CARDS AND TRANSCRIPTS WERE DISTRIBUTED ON FRIDAY, MAY 29, 2009, AND THOSE
NOT PICKED UP WERE MAILED.
The AISA is disappointed with the bankruptcy and
closing of Taylor Road Academy and the burden placed on students, parents, and
teachers. Taylor Road Academy has been a full accredited member school since
1997 and with SACS since 2003. School officials notified the AISA that all
grade reports not distributed at school on last Friday were mailed to students.
We are sure that the U.S. Bankruptcy Court will follow applicable bankruptcy
laws in the closing of the school and will address the parent, teacher, and
student concerns.
The
Alabama Independent School Association is pleased to announce the appointment of
Abigail Marshall as AISA Bookkeeper. She will replace retiring Linda Faust,
AISA’s Bookkeeper/Administrative Assistant since 1981. Abigail is a Lowndes
Academy graduate and worked as the Association’s Secretary from 2000-2004. She
graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in Business in 2004 from Troy University
Montgomery. Abigail and her husband, John, have two boys; John Russ-age 4 and
Thomas-age 2. Abigail will assume the bookkeeper’s duties as of July 1st.
The Association wishes Linda the best on her retirement. We are looking forward
to Abigail Marshall’s employment as AISA Bookkeeper.
