MANDATORY BALLS, ETC. FOR AISA SPORTS PLAY:  DIAMOND BALL FOR BASEBALL; THE WORTH SOFTBALL; AND “THE GAME" CAPS/VISORS FOR BASEBALL AND SOFTBALL.   THIS ENDORSEMENT IS FOR ALL AISA COMPETITIONS. OFFICIAL COMPLAINTS FOR NOT  FOLLOWING THIS POLICY MUST BE WRITTEN AND SIGNED BY THE    INVOLVED OPPOSING COACH,   SIGNED BY THE HEAD OF SCHOOL AND MAILED TO THE AISA OFFICE.  THERE WILL BE A $500 FINE PER PLAYING DATE IF THE ENDORSED BALL, CAP OR VISOR IS NOT WORN IN COMPETITION.

page 69 AISA Athletic Handbook--First Round Play:  Under #1:  The area winners will serve as the home team in all regional competition.

See page 70--Second Round Play:  Under #3a "Seed Criteria":  a.  Seed criteria: All in-class competition during the regular season and all tournaments will be used for this purpose.  A school must play at least eight (8) in-class games to qualify for seeding.  (No more than two (2) regular season games per/opponent may be used.)  If a tie exists:  (1) head to head competition will determine the seed; (2) if a tie still exists, the team with the most in-class victories will  be seeded ahead of the other(s) involved in the tie; if  a tie still exists, a toss of the coin will be the determinant.

 

The highest seeded team will be the home team.  A toss of the coin will determine home and visitors for the championship game.

Baseball/Softball Scheduling (All Classes)
Member schools are required to play their assigned area schools twice and each in-class school in their assigned region at least once during the regular  season. 

NOTE:  Penalty - Team refusing to play their in-class region school and/or their area schools will forfeit all post season play opportunities.  Schools are required   to play at least eight (8) in-class games to qualify for the play-offs.
