2.	STATE CHORAL FESTIVAL will be held on April 6 & 7, 2001, at Alabama Southern, Monroeville. This is a date change. ATTENTION ELEMENTARY CHOIR DIRECTORS AND HEADMASTERS:
Please be reminded that the Elementary Choral Festival will be hosted by Hooper Academy this year on Friday, April 20. Send your registration form to Mr. Jim Christiansen, Choral Director, Hooper Academy. (Choral fees are to be sent to Mrs. Linda Faust at the AISA office.)

SGA EXECUTIVE COUNCIL TO MEET:
The officers and the seven elected district representatives will meet in the AISA Conference Room on Tuesday, March 20, at 10:00 a.m. (AISA office). Plans for the SGA sponsored competitions and the SGA Spring Convention will be finalized.

REMINDERS CONCERNING UPCOMING EVENTS IN ACADEMICS AND ARTS:

March 13 - State Scholars' Bowl at Huntingdon College. 9:00 Registration / Drawing (9:30 1st Round) meet in Stallworth Dining Room / Russell Hall.

March 16 and 17 - Secondary Band Festival and Honors Band at Alabama Southern Community College, Monroeville, AL

March 21 - State Technology Fair at Morgan Academy, Mrs. Betty Carol Swindle.

April 6 and 7 - Secondary Choral Festival and Honors Chorus at Alabama Southern Community College, Monroeville, AL

April 25 - State Art Show at Huntingdon College

IMPORTANT REMINDER CONCERNING SAT TESTING:
All headmasters, guidance counselors, and teachers in AISA are reminded of the need for careful and professional test security as we approach the April testing date. Be very sure that tests are kept securely locked until the day of testing, tests and answer sheets should be collected and secured, as soon as testing concludes each day.

It is appropriate to have in-service sessions to prepare for testing. These sessions should be used to ensure that teachers are very familiar with the directions for administration, the procedures for testing, and with timing and other considerations. Under no circumstances should teachers have the actual test that students will take, except on the days the tests are administered.

Be reminded that all of us should take the necessary steps, however, to ensure that all students have been taught for mastery all skills on which they will be tested in April. The Compendium of Objectives, the Practice tests, and the various test-prep materials are are appropriate and necessary for use at this time.

BASEBALL
Macon-East Montgomery Academy will host a baseball and softball tournament on April 7, 2001. If interested in participating, call Coach Glynn Lott at (334) 277-6566.

ATTENTION COACHES:
A Pitcher has to rest two days after he pitches 7 innings. Example: If he pitches on Monday for 7 innings he must rest Tuesday and Wednesday.

SOFTBALL
Faith Academy is hosting a Softball Tournament on March 30-31, 2001. Coach Head needs 2 more teams.

TRACK
Morgan Academy will be hosting track meets on the following dates: March 19, April 9, and April 16. Entry fee is $30.00 per school per meet. Call Coach Robinson for specific information at (334) 875-9466. A Scratch Meeting is scheduled for 12:30 p.m. prior to each event. The field events will start at 1:00 p.m.
