LETTER FROM THE STATE OF ALABAMA DEPARTMENT OF PUBLIC HEALTH

ADMINISTRATORS' WORKSHOP (June 11-14 at Huntingdon College):
If you have a suggestion for a workshop topic, please call the AISA office.  Information will 
be on the 5-21-01 LINK.  Headmasters who have never attended the workshop are expected to attend this year.  In addition, Headmasters who are not required to attend are invited to participate in the four days of intensive 
in-service.




CATHERINE ACADEMY AUCTION:
Catherine Academy will have an auction on Saturday, June 2, 2001 beginning at 10:00 a.m.  Items for sale 
include the following:  institutional kitchen equipment, cafeteria tables, instructional materials including 
wall maps, desks, folding chairs, microscopes and other science lab equipment, light poles and transformers 
around football field, chain link fence, flag poles, computers, A Beka reading K-3 kits, deep freezers, 
playground equipment, laminating machine, Ellison letter cutter, etc.  Items can be seen Friday, June 1, 
from 12:00 noon until 3:00 p.m. and on Saturday morning, June 2, beginning at 7:00 a.m.

ATTENTION COACHES:
You can attend only one team camp with your players.  There is no restriction on individual camps.

REQUIRED COACHES' MEETING:
AISA
Required Coaches' Meeting is scheduled for July 19-20, 2001.  This meeting will be held at the Governors 
House Hotel on East South Boulevard in Montgomery.  Make your plans to attend.  A $100.00 fine will be assessed 
to schools for failure to have a representative present on July 20.  The golf scramble will be at Montgomery National Golf Club (Oak Hills).  Agenda and registration information will follow under separate cover.

GOLF

ALL-STARS:
The East Softball team won both games in the softball All-Star games on May 19, 2001.  The MVP for the East 
was Courtney Jones from Glenwood School and the West MVP was Ali Sheppard of Mobile Christian School.  
The AISA would like to thank the All-Stars and it's coaches because we had 100% participation on all four squads.  

The West Baseball All-Stars won both games by 8-3 and 13-11 scores.  Tom Whitaker from Marengo was the 
MVP for the West and Sky Smith won the MVP for the East.
