Attention! AISA Hall of Fame
The AISA Hall of Fame Banquet and Induction Ceremony will be held on March 5, 2001 at the Civic Center in Montgomery. Nominees must be into the AISA Office by January 5, 2001. Call the AISA for an official Nomination Form. Let's support this excellent program. Recognize and honor your extraordinary leaders, alumni and/or contributors by placing their names in nomination.

ATHLETIC DIRECTOR NOTES: 
Attention Coaches! Last Game Policy:  Schools having student-athletes ejected for conduct violations during their last regular season game, and/or last play-off game in any sport will be fined & $200.00 per ejection.  This policy became effective with the AISA interscholastic winter sports program during the 1998-99 school year.

COACHING VACANCIES:
Edgewood Academy is taking applications through December 15 for the position of Head Football Coach and Head Volleyball Coach - Call Larry Pickett at 334-567-5102 for information and application.

STATE COACHES MEETING SCHEDULED FOR DECEMBER 1:

The American General Player of the Year Banquet has been changed from November 28 to December 4, 2000.

PEPSI/ALL-STAR CLASSIC:
AISA will sponsor its 31st Annual all-star Football Classic on Friday, December 1, 2000.  The game will be played at Ralph "Shug" Jordan Memorial Stadium in Selma, Alabama. Game time will is 7:00 p.m.  The event will feature 66 all-star football players, 36 all-star cheerleaders, the Pickens Academy Band, Meadowview Christian School Dance Team, The Morgan Academy Dance Team, the Crenshaw Christian Academy Dance Team, the Springwood School Dance Team, and the Marion Military Color Guard.  A list of the all-star players, cheerleaders, and coaches is attached.  SUPPORT THE AISA AND OUR ELITE ALL STARS - LOAD YOUR BUSES AND COME TO THE GAME!

Congratulations on your selection as an all-star coach.  I am sure that you will enjoy working with the all-stars and your fellow coaches during the week.

Please try to arrange your schedule to arrive at the Holiday Inn in Selma by 9:00 a.m. on December 1.  We need to have an organizational meeting prior to the all-stars' arrival at 11:00 a.m.

Coaches, you should communicate and determine who will bring necessary equipment, supplies, etc. for practice and the game.

WRESTLING
WRESTLING GATE PRICES:
Maximum - $3.00 Adults / $2.00 Students
Tournaments - $4.00 Adults / $2.00 Students

BASKETBALL
There will be a $25.00 fine if the coordinator is not notified two weeks in advance of a change in your basketball schedule.  This will be paid to the coordinator.  This will take effect on December 4, 2000.

OFFICIALS' PAY:  
Any six (6) minute quarter game - $22.00 per official 
Any eight (8) minute quarter game - $30.00 per official
Mileage - Twenty-five (25) cents per mile for one car (both ways) will be paid.
NOTE:  Unless a special assignment is being worked, mileage will be held to a maximum of $50.00

BASKETBALL COACHES:
These schools need to send your basketball schedule to George Barrows -  New Life Academy, Chambers Academy, and South Montgomery County Academy.

ATTENTION BASKETBALL COACHES AND AD'S:
AISA Policy - The following procedure will be followed by all AISA schools when four or more basketball games are scheduled on a game day/night:

Pee Wee play - finish by 3:50 p.m.

Junior High girls - start at 4:00 p.m. - allow 4 minutes only for halftime. If 2nd half starts after the half hour, then limit 3rd and 4th quarters to 5 minutes each.

If starting on the hour is a problem, cut warm-ups to a maximum of eight (8) minutes. Note: Policy applies to regulation play only. If overtime occurs, play it out.

THE OFFICIAL BASKETBALL:
The Spalding 1000 wide channel is the adopted basketball that will be used for the state tournament and the All-Star game. Local schools can determine the use of any basketball for their home games as long as it meets the National Federal Rule.

Dear Coach,

    The Fifteenth Annual Marion Military Institute Independent School Invitational Golf Tournament will be played on Thursday, April 5, 2001.  The tournament will begin at 8:30 a.m.  Each team  is allowed to enter five players with the low four scores counting after twenty-seven holes of medal play.  The team entry fee is $100.00, which includes the price of a noon meal.

    Please fill out this form and return it to me by December 20, 2000.  The tournament will be limited to the first eighteen teams to enter.

    Additional information will be mailed to the participating teams by March 12, 2001.
