Congratulations go to Molly Andrews of Springwood School and Anna Ralston of Morgan Academy.  These two ladies have been selected as recipients of the AISA Headmasters' Association Scholarships. Molly will receive a scholarship of $1,500.00 and Anna will receive a scholarship of $1,000.00.  The selection committee was comprised of Ms. Beverly Fundaburk (retired educator and administrator),  Mr. John Bricken (retired educator), and Mr. John Tatum (retired educator).  Our thanks go out to them for performing a monumental task of selecting the recipients from a field of highly qualified nominees.

SAMPLE OF A SCHOOL'S ATTENDANCE REPORTING PERIODS -- Do not use OFF Days  BLANK ATTENDANCE REPORT

AISA MONTHLY ATTENDANCE REPORTS:  Headmasters, when completing your attendance report, in the column aggregate students present, that total number should equal the students present each day for the 20 days--not the number of students on roll each day for the 20 days.  The same should be done for the absences.  Please remember this when completing your next report.

TEACHER/CLASSROOM OBSERVATION:  If you have a teacher at your school that you would like to observe a highly qualified teacher at an AISA school in your area, please complete the Teacher Observation Form.

CHILD RESTRAINT LAWS:  Child Restraint Law, effective 7-1-06:  In the state of Alabama, a child, 1 - 4 years or 20-40 lbs must be in a forward-facing child safety seat and a child 5 years but not yet 6, in a booster seat.


AISA Honor Scholarship from Huntingdon College:  The AISA Scholarship is for new freshman students enrolling in Fall 2006.  This is a half-tuition scholarship, renewable for three additional years of study that will be awarded to students from schools of the Alabama Independent Schools Association (AISA).   Students must rank in the top quartile of their school based upon his or her academic GPA. This scholarship will be awarded upon verification of this designation from the student’s secondary school principal or guidance counselor.  SCHOLARSHIP CRITERIA
